(Reuters) - The World Health Organization issued a stern warning on Friday to scientists who have engineered a highly pathogenic form of the deadly H5N1 bird flu virus, saying their work carries significant risks and must be tightly controlled.
The United Nations health body said it was "deeply concerned about the potential negative consequences" of work by two leading flu research teams who this month said they had found ways to make H5N1 into a easily transmissable form capable of causing lethal human pandemics.
The work by the teams, one in The Netherlands and one in the United States, has already prompted an unprecedented censorship call from U.S. security advisers who fear that publishing details of the research could give potential attackers the know-how to make a bioterror weapon.
The U.S. National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity has asked two journals that want to publish the work to make only redacted versions of studies available, a request to which the journal editors and many leading scientists object.
In its first comment on the controversy, the WHO said: "While it is clear that conducting research to gain such knowledge must continue, it is also clear that certain research, and especially that which can generate more dangerous forms of the virus....has risks."
H5N1 bird flu is extremely deadly in people who are directly exposed to it from infected birds. Since the virus was first detected in 1997, about 600 people have contracted it and more than half of them have died.
But so far it has not yet naturally mutated into a form that can pass easily from person to person, although many scientists fear this kind of mutation is likely to happen at some point and will constitute a major health threat if it does. (Continue reading)

The CNP acts like a (political) Right Wing version of the Council on Foreign Relations - the folks who are helping to bring us world government. Chuck is also known for his SwanSat program - something that appears to be connected to the future tracking of citizens around the world. A sure money-making scheme that will be embraced by the world government.

Roger and Chuck Let's look back at one of Chuck Missler's business ventures, which may help us make some connections with Roger Oakland, a prior member of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.
Based upon newspaper reports, in 1989, The Phoenix Group, Inc., Chuck Missler's publicly-traded development company, entered into an $8 billion joint venture to supply personal computers to the 143,000 public schools of the Soviet Union.[1] The plan was to sell millions of computers to the Soviet Union, but it apparently went up in smoke, and the Phoenix Group International filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.[2]
According to the LA Times article, Chuck Smith, pastor at Calvary Chapel and a personal friend of Missler, said he loaned $150,000 to Phoenix Group to help the company increase production of its diskless personal computers. It is interesting to note that the U.S. was still officially in a Cold War with Russia until 1991, and the Phoenix Group had already started their ambitious overseas project.
Take note that both Roger Oakland and Chuck Missler attended church at Chuck Smith's church in Costa Mesa during the same time frame. According to Oakland's Facebook page, "He [Roger] has been to Russia and other republics of the former Soviet Union 37 times since 1990. Perhaps this is why Roger is so reluctant to spill the beans on Chuck Missler and his Illuminati SwanSat project. There is one thing for sure: it sure looks like Roger and Chuck Missler have time invested in one another. Is it only a coincidence that these Phoenix Group years match up? Could they both be part of the Knights of Malta, just as Lt. Gen. Boykin, Rick Joyner, and Pat Robertson are? Hmmmm!

The Fabian Society was formed immediately after the formation of the Society for Psychical Research (1882). Brook Westcott and Fenton Hort, along with Arthur Balfour, were devotees of both organizations, if that helps to show that the Fabians were, not only of occult persuasion, but tied to the Rothschild political machine. After all, these men were involved with the Rothschilds in the "Apostles' Club."
Note that the Pentecostals/Charismatics of the late 1800s came as "apostles," and that the Mormons, Irvingites, and other cults before them were also self-proclaimed as such. What is amazing is that Charismatics today acknowledge the wolf-status of cults because the cults deny the Deity of Jesus, and yet the Charismatics do not place their own movement into the same category...wherefore let me say without malice and purely for your consideration that Illuminatists can just as easily disguise themselves as Trinitarians as Unitarians/Arians. Take the Vatican as just one example, but also the Anglicans.
In a recent poll, one third of Anglican bishops said that they do not believe in the resurrection of Christ. How many more of them do not believe in the Resurrection and yet lied in the poll? It seems to me that such a situation could not occur unless the top leadership of the Anglican church were itself infested with apostates...although "apostate" here may not be the proper term to use as it is defined as a Christian fallen from Faith whereas Illuminatists may never have had Faith to begin with."
In another excerpt, he goes onto say:

At the Aho website, you can read that Fabianism was, in the visible world, the politics of Christian Socialism, initially devised by apostates from Anglican evangelical circles, explaining why the "new evangelism" was at that time a phrase coined by Freemasons. That New Evangelism is still with us today, and so be on the watch for it, or you might devote your life to it with bitter regrets in the end. It seems apparent that the New Evangelism has the purpose of building a global village, using Christ (and the Christian) wherever possible to advance itself."

(LA Times) The Transportation Security Administration isn't just in airports anymore. TSA teams are increasingly conducting searches and screenings at train stations, subways, ferry terminals and other mass transit locations around the country.
"We are not the Airport Security Administration," said Ray Dineen, the air marshal in charge of the TSA office in Charlotte. "We take that transportation part seriously."
The TSA's 25 "viper" teams — for Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response — have run more than 9,300 unannounced checkpoints and other search operations in the last year. Department of Homeland Security officials have asked Congress for funding to add 12 more teams next year.
According to budget documents, the department spent $110 million in fiscal 2011 for "surface transportation security," including the TSA's viper program, and is asking for an additional $24 million next year. That compares with more than $5 billion for aviation security. (Read full article)

She is also known for her teaching segment on James Robison's Life Today, who has stated that he would like to see the Church unite as one.
As members of the Church enter a critical time of determining which gate they will choose to enter, Beth drops the bait by enticing believers toward the wide gate. In the first video, she regards Roman Catholics as a Christian denomination, and neglects to comment on their abundance of unbiblical and pagan practices.
As we learned from a comparative study of Transcendental Meditation and Contemplative/Centering prayer, Biblical meditation involves meditating on the Word of Godconsciously, not by the practice of emptying the mind or focusing on a word. We are not told in Scripture to "experience" God or his "presence." His presence is a reality within us through "faith." Practicing God's presence is done by acknowledging Him, believing Him, and considering Him in all we do. It is my personal relationship with Him that engages His Spirit with my Spirit. If you recall, when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He used "words" and then commanded against vain repetition as the heathen do (Matt. 6:7).
Most importantly, since this type of meditation is a mystical practice taught in the Kabbalah, and the foundational teachings of the Kabbalah system are a complete departure from what is written and understood by Christendom, Christians should not be practicing it. Centering prayer is being used by the change agents within the Church to take the fight for what is right out of the masses, thus giving them the edge to more easily control the Christian population during the transition into the one world religion and world government. It's the great mental sedative being pushed by Beth Moore.
John Perkins, in his book The Confessions of an Economic Hitman, talks about the years he worked for an international consulting firm where his main job was to convince less developed countries around the world to accept multibillion-dollar loans for infrastructure projects. He would see to it that most of this money ended up at the military industrial complex companies of Halliburton, Bechtel, Brown and Root, and other United States engineering and construction companies. The Need to Protect the Internet from "Astroturfing" Grows Ever More Urgent
(The Guardian) Every month more evidence piles up, suggesting that online comment threads and forums are being hijacked by people who aren't what they seem.
The anonymity of the web gives companies and governments golden opportunities to run astroturf operations: fake grassroots campaigns that create the impression that large numbers of people are demanding or opposing particular policies. This deception is most likely to occur where the interests of companies or governments come into conflict with the interests of the public. For example, there's a long history of tobacco companies creating astroturf groups to fight attempts to regulate them.
After I wrote about online astroturfing in December, I was contacted by a whistleblower. He was part of a commercial team employed to infest internet forums and comment threads on behalf of corporate clients, promoting their causes and arguing with anyone who opposed them.
Like the other members of the team, he posed as a disinterested member of the public. Or, to be more accurate, as a crowd of disinterested members of the public: he used 70 personas, both to avoid detection and to create the impression there was widespread support for his pro-corporate arguments. The fact that the widespread publicity about the recent vote on the National Defense Authorization bill, helped this blogger reach the following conclusion. Written on December 1st, he states that the bill creates a "new paradigm of the idea of America being a battlefield. This bill could fail butthat idea will not be allowed to go away."

In a recent blog comment made by Constance Cumbey, she believes that there is an important aspect of the Occupy Movement veiled by the media - the New Age presence. Constance said:

Based upon my perspective of the radio interview on Coast to Coast AM early this morning, the one factor about the Occupy Movement and the elites goal for globalism that is never mentioned is the New Age aspect. Chris Clark eloquently described each tentacle of the creature bringing about the world government, including the lap-dog media, global warming and the environmentalist goals, but not once explained the New Age movements part in the beast. It is surely the aspect that has the greatest significance.

U.S. military is planning a greater presence in the world
The United States plans to station several Navy combat ships in Singapore, as Washington is mulling stepping up deployments to the Philippines and Thailand.
(Press TV) "We will station several of our newest littoral combat ships" in Singapore, Admiral Jonathan Greenert stated in an academic article, referring to the presence of the US Navy in the region by the year 2025.
In the article Greenert alludes to the negative effect of the current economic crisis on future military expenditures, adding that "because we will probably not be able to sustain the financial and diplomatic cost of new main operating bases abroad, the fleet will rely more on host-nation ports and other facilities where our ships, aircraft, and crews can refuel, rest, resupply and repair while deployed."
He said that the US may also increase the deployment of aircraft - which are used to track submarines - to the Philippines and Thailand.
US President Obama announced last month that the United States would post up to 2,500 marines in the northern city of Darwin, Australia, by 2016-17.
The United States already has approximately 70,000 troops stationed in Japan and South Korea.
Russia has criticized the redundancy of US military forces near its borders, including the establishment of missile array systems in Poland and Romania.

The Vatican’s former foreign minister asked to place some Israeli holy places under Vatican authority, alluding to the Cenacle on Mount Zion and the garden of Gethsemane at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. The first site also houses what is referred to as King David’s tomb.
“There will not be peace if the question of the holy sites is not adequately resolved”, Tauran said. “The part of Jerusalem within the walls – with the holy sites of the three religions – is humanity’s heritage. The sacred and unique character of the area must be safeguarded and it can only be done with a special, internationally-guaranteed statute.”

The Israeli government and the Vatican are deadlocked in discussions over the status of the religious sites. Vatican officials are now reiterating their demand for control over the religious sites in the ancient and holy city founded by King David as the capital of ancient Israel and now the capital of the reestablished Jewish state.
Danny Ayalon, Israel’s deputy foreign minister, declared that Israel might consider giving the Vatican “a greater role” in operating the sites. In the last weeks, the Roman Catholic Church’s authorities increased their political initiatives for Catholic control over some sites in Jerusalem.
The Vatican’s former archbishop in Jerusalem, Michel Sabbah, just promoted an appeal to the European Union and United States to “stop the Hebraization of Jerusalem.”
Two weeks ago Msgr. David-Maria Jaeger, who was recently appointed by Pope Benedict XVI to the Vatican’s highest court, talked in Washington about a current U.S. Supreme Court case over whether an American boy born in Jerusalem should add Israel after the name of the historic city on his U.S. passport. Jaeger said that the question about Jerusalem is not “whether it is the capital of Israel, it is a question of whether it is a part of a national territory.”

(Orange County Register) Pastor Rick Warren on Saturday will reveal what he calls "Saddleback's Christmas gift to Southern California." That gift, according to Warren, is called the PEACE Center, a building at the church's main Lake Forest campus that will be open to anyone in need.

That project is in the planning stages but once completed will house a free health clinic and clothing exchange to help young families in addition to the other services that are now in the temporary center. The focus of Rick Warren's ministry has shifted from from faith in God's Word to service to the world, and it is based in Christian Socialism.
In Rick Warren's Ministry ToolBox, he states:
"The first Reformation clarified what we believe. This reformation is all about how we act and operate in the world. It involves the key components of purpose, decentralization, lay mobilization, use of technology, and continuous learning. Churches that change are thriving and growing more effective. Churches that refuse to change will miss the reformation, and are dying."
This isn't a true statement, since Christ's Church is eternal. The statement he made may give us a peek into the globalist plan for the elimination of smaller churches, or for churches in a community to pull their resources together to duplicate a program as the one at Saddleback. I could be wrong about that, but it would force them to preach a more ecumenically watered-down Christian message - or no gospel message at all. This type of Christianity will lead to few genuine conversions.
The Lord Jesus Christ told His disciples before His crucifixion, "My kingdom is not of this world." Nor are His followers "of the world!" Yet, He sends us "into the world" so that we, "speaking the truth in love," so that it may demonstrate His truth and love to all who will hear. The formulation of a body of moral principles to govern mankind is currently the objective of a worldwide, multicultural and religio-political network that is working diligently to hasten mankind's return to the Natural Law. The scientists have stopped short of claiming discovery, but in a press conference livestreamed from the European research institute CERN, they said that they’re getting close to finding it.
And what, exactly is it? According to Scientific American’s Kelly Oakes, the Higgs boson is the smallest part of the Higgs field, which physicists believe gives all matter the property of mass. Translated and oversimplified, that means that nothing would have weight without the Higgs field. For academics, finding the particle would complete a puzzle about the universe that’s been bugging them for decades.

(Reuters) - The U.S. Congress sought to avoid a showdown with the White House over detainee policy in the war against al Qaeda on Monday, with a panel approving new rules for handling terrorism suspects after adding changes wanted by the administration.
Leaders from the House and Senate Armed Services Committees said they were not certain the changes they included in the National Defense Authorization Act would be enough to avert a threatened veto by President Barack Obama, but they said they hoped they had addressed his concerns.
"I just can't imagine that the president would veto this bill," Senator Carl Levin, the Democratic chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, told reporters after a conference committee approved the measure. The detainee provisions included in the bill raised concerns because they would broaden the armed forces powers over suspected militants, requiring foreigners allied with al Qaeda to be held in military custody even if they were captured in the United States.
New language added by House and Senate lawmakers "make it 100 percent clear that there is no interference with the FBI or other civilian law enforcement," Levin said. "I very strongly believe this should satisfy the administration and I hope it will."
Senator John McCain, the top Republican on the Senate panel, said the issue was of "transcendent importance to a lot of Americans" and he hoped the administration would "not be swayed by political considerations in an election year."(Read more)

Scientists have been hunting the Higgs for more than 30 years with machines so large they are miles across and consume the power of a reasonable-sized town. Centering Prayer is often incorporated into Catholic retreats and worship services.
The practice of Transcendental Meditation (TM) has been growing rapidly since its arrival in the late '50s to the U.S., and it was characterized as a new religious movement. Since this point in time, studies have been done to support the benefits of TM, which has helped to create more teaching centers. According to the movement, four to six million people have been trained in TM technique since 1959.[1]
Fast forward to the year 2003. David Lynch started a fundraising project to raise $1 billion on behalf of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the man who brought TM to the U.S.. His plan was to build a meditation center large enough to hold 8,000 skilled practitioners. David Lynch's foundation also funds university and medical school research to assess the effects of the program on academic performance, ADHD and other learning disorders, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, cardiovascular disease, post-traumatic stress disorder, and diabetes.. TM in at-risk patients was shown to reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke by 47%. In this news article, just by continually repeating a mantra, it has been found to reduce high blood pressure, cholesterol and thickening of the arteries.
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr got top billing for the "Change Begins Within" benefit concert held at Radio City Music Hall in NY City in 2009. As part of their publicity for the event, several celebrity advocates of TM attended the press conference. The David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peacehas an integral part of advancing TM into every aspect of society, as you will see in his website and this video.
Schools, the military, homeless shelters, American Indians, prisons, and global outreach projects are being taught TM to control difficult aspects of their lives. It is not by coincidence then that TM has been showing up in human potential seminars, some alternative holistic health practices, and certain curriculum in public and private schools.

Is there an agenda? Does this organization have genuine concern for the welfare of these social groups, or do they have an agenda? TM helps the practitioner to enter altered states of consciousness, which enables them to cope with life. As the practitioner tries to find help for their ailments, they are actually using the world's therapy. It is a big hook that reels its practitioner in and slowly changes their attitudes and creates tolerance where there once was none.
As the practitioner is seeking a "higher self," also known as the "divine-within," he is being conditioned to accept the coming Aquarian age and their philosophy that "all is One." As the population is in an altered state of consciousness, the New Age movement is making inroads into messing them up spiritually and creating an age of occultic mysticism.
This wave of the future was planned by New Agers to assist in bringing in their New Age "christ" and a one world government. Alice Bailey, a Theosophist/occultist, desired the time when the 'Christian churches' would embrace the New Age concepts of illumination and self-realization. She knew it would make the Church ripe for the Aquarian Age. She said:
"The Christian church, in its many branches, can serve as a St. John the Baptist, as a voice crying in the wilderness, and as a nucleus through which world illumination may be accomplished."
The ultimate goal of Transcendental Meditation is peace. Peace within ones self and peace around the globe.[2] One of the organizations Maharishi Mahesh Yogi founded before his death was the Global Country of World Peace (GCWP). He started "to create global world peace by unifying all nations in happiness, prosperity, invincibility and perfect health, while supporting the rich diversity of our world family."[2] Sounds great, but it's a counterfeit. Peace only comes through a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the following video, John Hagelin from the Maharishi University of Management, claims that research hypothesis states that by the use of TM, it could radiate the influence of peace. This training could affect overall society and bring peace in the Middle East.
Contemplative Prayer As TM makes its way into the workplace and schools, Christians have come in contact with it too. TM has also shown up in the Church and is considered as a wave of the future - but it's now called Contemplative/Centering prayer. Now being accepted by many megachurches, local pastors have begun accepting Contemplative/Centering prayer as a lost art of the early Church. But is there a reason why it became a lost/hidden art?
Let's look at this subject more closely. Is TM really being repackaged as Contemplative Prayer/Centering prayer, as many say it is? Has the terminology from TM been Christianized and modified to fool the Church? In order to provide these people a fair shake, we'll do a comparative study of both. Since I encourage everyone to test everything for truth, and to assure us that the information and cautions being disseminated by discernment ministries is valid, let's check it out.
One View of Christian Meditation Those who practice Christian meditation often issue warnings on differences, and potential incompatibilities, between genuine Christian meditation and the styles of meditation used in eastern religions. These warnings point to fundamental errors when combining Christian and non-Christian styles of meditation.
It is presented that Christian meditation aims to heighten the personal relationship based on the love of God that marks Christian communion with Him. The focus for many is primarily on the Holy Spirit inhabiting the Christian, which is the divine-within, and tries to place credibility on the meditative practice.
All of this sounds great, but after being in the Pentecostal and Charismatic for most of my Christian walk, it makes me wonder if it is just another bait and switch. Just as Christians have been fooled for generations with the second-filling experience of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost encouraged by Christian Gnostics, perhaps we should carefully compare the actual process.
Steps to Christian Meditation There are different forms of Christian meditation, and I will focus on Centering prayer. Centering prayer is when you silently repeat a word and it places a strong emphasis on interior silence.[2] According to Basil Pennington, a Trappist monk, you should follow this process:
Sit comfortably with your eyes closed, relax, and quiet yourself as you listen to music. Be in love and faith to God.
Although not mentioned in every source, it is recommended that you place thetongueto the roof of your mouth. (Note that the tongue activates the pineal gland.)
Choose a sacred wordthat best supports your sincere intention to be in the Lord's presence and open to His divine action within you (i.e. "Jesus", "Lord," "God," "Savior," "Abba," "Shalom," "Spirit," etc.).
Let that word be gently present a sincere intention to be in the Lord's presence and open to His divine action within you. (Thomas Keating advises that the word remain unspoken.)
Use the word forcefully to eliminate thoughts. Whenever you become aware of anything (thoughts, feelings, perceptions, images, associations, etc.), simply return to your sacred word, using it as your anchor. Progress in intimacy with God means progress in silence. [3]
Experience the divine presence of God.
Ideally, the prayer will reach the point where the person is not engaged in their thoughts as they arrive on their stream of consciousness. This is the "cloud of unknowing" referenced in the books of Christian mystics of the 14th century book. It involves heartfelt spiritual union with God, and it is an experience of God's presence.
To make it clearer to exactly what Centering prayer is, these short statements are all based on the thoughts of Father Thomas Keating. He is a writer, teacher and founding member of the Spirituality branch of Integral Institute. Centering prayer is the movement toward the center of our being. [4] It is a process of emptying and surrendering, which makes room for God's infinite love. [5] According to the video, Father Keating, in order to reach the final goal, "you must pass through the spiritual level to awaken to the true self, and to whatever the divine presence God wants to share with us....It is the same union and unity that Jesus experiences with the Father and the Holy Spirit. What is brought about through centering prayer is the mystical depth, which can't be attained through conventional prayer."[6]
Those who practice centering prayer are advised to do it twice a day for 20 minute sessions.
Health Benefits of Centering Prayer Since TM has health benefits, let's compare it with the benefits of Centering prayer.
The relaxation response - prayer elicits the relaxation response, which lowers blood pressure and other factors heightened by stress
Secondary control - prayer releases control to something greater than oneself, which can reduce the stress of needing to be in charge
The placebo response - prayer can enhance a person's hopes and expectations and that in turn can positively impact health
Healing presence - prayer can bring a sense of a spiritual or loving presence and alignment with God or an immersion into a universal unconsciousness
Positive feelings - prayer can elicit feelings of gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, and hope, all of which are associated with healing and wellness.
Mind-body-spirit connection - when prayer uplifts or calms, it inhibits the release of cortisol and other hormones, thus reducing the negative impact of stress on the immune system and promoting healing.
Transcendental Meditation To do it correctly, it is advised that you learn from a trained instructor.
Sit comfortablywith your eyes closed, relax, and quiet yourself as you listen to music.
Although not mentioned in every source, it is recommended that you place the tongue to the roof of your mouth - and activates the pineal gland.
The mantra is a sound or word that has no meaning, and is thought (but not spoken) during meditation. For example, you might repeat the sacredmantraAUM a certain number of times. Repeating a mantra forces the mind to focus on a single thought. The mantra is repeated mentally, to help keep focus, and it is used as a vehicle that allows the individual's attention to travel naturally to a less active, quieter style of mental functioning.
The object of the exercise it to eliminate thoughts and transcend consciousness, continuing to use the sacred word forcefully to eliminate thoughts.
The mind is left fully awake with no boundaries. This is the silent state of the mind and it is supposed to be fulfilling. It uses the natural tendency of the mind to go toward greater happiness, so the mind effortlessly transcends to its most silent state.
There are several levels of consciousness, with Infinite intelligence (christ consciousness) being the highest level of awareness.
After learning the proper methods of TM, it is recommended that you meditate twice a day for twenty minutes each session.
Additional Info As stated by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1955 in The Beacon Light of the Himalayas: "For purpose we select only the suitable mantras of personal gods. Such mantras fetch to us the grace of personal gods and make us happier in every walk of life."[7]
In this natural state, which Maharishi describes as “the simplest form of human awareness,” the mind has settled inward, beyond all perception, thought, and feeling. The mind becomes restful yet remains fully awake and alert. What is consciousness aware of in this state? Itself alone — one experiences consciousness in its pure state, silent and unbounded. Consciousness becomes its own object. In Transcendental Consciousness, “the subject and the object are one.”[8][9][10][11]
Conclusion All of the information I found on TM was taken directly from the masters and TM sites. The information I obtained for Centering prayer was taken directly from the experts, not from the discernment ministries. I have made this research and conclusions as unbiased as possible.
Based upon information in this TM blog, not all meditation is the same, therefore not all meditation is transcendental. It states:
"During TM practice, one experiences that it is the mind's 'nature' to settle inward and experience the state of pure awareness. Because transcending is a natural process, it's possible to transcend during any form of meditation if the right conditions are present. However, practices such as mindfulness, guided meditation, "Christian centering prayer" or common "mantra" meditation — which have their own valuable benefits — typically engage the mind within the realm of thought, sensation or emotion and are not designed for automatic self-transcending. Such practices tend to keep the mind active and do not spontaneously induce the deep, inward settling associated with transcendental consciousness."
Therefore, in spite of the distinct similarities between Transcendental Meditation and Contemplative/Centering prayer, I believe they are not entirelythe same, though they are very close. They borrow terminology and the step-by-step descent into the meditative state, but Centering prayer stops at a given point where TM continues the descent.
Does this mean that Centering prayer is completely safe? Absolutely not! The origin of the practice is from Mystics and Contemplatives from the Kabbalah. Since the the foundational teachings of the Kabbalah system are a complete departure from what is written and understood by Christendom, I believe there is some price to pay for practicing it.
Contemplatives claim that while they use Centering prayer, they feel closeness to God. Well, I believe that whatever they sense as closeness to God is the same false phenomena similar to that of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. This provided a definite sense of cleansing, happiness, and closeness to God that anyone could possibly experience, but it is also shared with the Pagan religions - and straight from the Kabbalah. Since Pagans use Centering prayer to get close to god, I believe Centering prayer is Pagan also.
One definite risk with Centering prayer is taking it too far. Ray Yungen and the Lighthouse Trails website have stories about Christians who started to use the practice of Centering prayer and they are now fully involved in the New Age movement. There is a hook Satan uses to reel in unsuspecting Christians.
Biblical meditation involves meditating on the Word of God consciously vs. emptying the mind. We are not told in Scripture to "experience" God or his "presence." His presence is a reality within us through "faith" - not an experience. If you recall, when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He used "words" and then commanded against vain repetition as the heathen do (Matt. 6:7).
If you listen to TM and Contemplative practitioners on YouTube who have used these techniques for any length of time, they sound like dopers who have used marijuana and drugs way too long. They speak slowly, softly, and they seem like their mind is on another planet. If the Contemplatives sound this way, then it is having the same effect on this group.
Is Transcendental Meditation and Centering prayer being used by the Illuminati to take the fight out of the masses, thus giving them the edge to control the population? Yes, I'm convinced that it is.
